One Day

One Day

One day, I will be dead.

One day, everyone in this room will be dead.

One day, everyone in this town will be dead.

One day, everyone I know will be dead.

Just sayin’.

About Ron Goetz

My first wife used to say, "There's nothing so sacred that Ron won't pick it apart." My desire to be a pastor -- that was a temperamental mismatch. She was so patient. If my birth mother had lived somewhere else, maybe I would've become a cold case detective. But I would have had to be J instead of a P, I think. And that mid-life reevaluation, starting adolescence as a GARB fundamentalist and transitioning to a non-theist, that gave me an unusual skill set.

    Ron,

Thank you for this site. I am always amazed (maybe I shouldn’t be) how many Christians put stumbling blocks (sometimes boulders) in the path of people that have come out as being homosexuals. The bible’s biggest message is that God wants all people to seek Him…all. ALL. Paul speaks so much about this…about not putting obstacles in the paths of sinners and Christians alike.

I believe that when anyone….and I am sorry if I sound harsh…is prohibitive in any way of someone else seeking God then they themselves have the log in their eye…and LACK faith and trust in God’s power. NO man gets out of being among the fallen. We have ALL sinned and come short of God’s glory. EVERY man goes to church with some sin they are wrestling with or are plagued with…yet, they go to church with little problem! WE have to LEAVE people alone to seek God…then IN THEIR seeking God will do His work in their lives…whatever it might be. Please read the following article. There are many people…adults now…that were PHYSICALLY born with the “normal for them” tendency toward homosexuality or gender issues.

“Oh, ye of little faith!” IF we have a BIG God, then God is capable of dealing with the person who are seeking Him and healing them of their tendencies…whether it is something they chose or something that they were born with. WHATEVER.

The ONLY people we are supposed to be “not allowing in church” are those who make it difficult/harass/abuse those who want to seek God. Or those who flaunt their issues/sins/problems(and you’ll know who they are….sometimes they are mockers) themselves and are not interested in God.

PLEASE people, leave people alone and let them seek God!!

When I say “heal” this may mean different things to different people and God. We have to get to a humble state and say that we don’t (by a long shot) know everything! Please see the following story about what God did in the life of Shirley Anne. We were born into a fallen world where babies are born with two heads or half a body…with no detectable gender or both genders…and etc., etc.. Yes, God makes no mistakes…but the fallen world we live in has made plenty! In a perfect world everyone would be exactly perfect in everyway…but NO one is perfect in this world. In this world there are many many anomalies and each have their own set of circumstances. So we cannot lump everyone together. God is capable of dealing with any and every issue in this world, and so are we if we wait on God, are patient and don’t get in His way.
